I’m trying to honor my North Node in Taurus 2nd house more and more, and plan to make myself a website soon to share my art and writing (Gemini Chiron & IC might be making this harder too) and hopefully finally get the stability I need my own way..
I’m 37 and never got myself the self-sufficiency I need.. (in the second serious longterm relationship of my life, which for me long is over 6 months of which thereve only been 2.. I was wise to stay out of relationships most of my life and work on myself.. anxiety ruled & crippled me.. I lived with my mother who I later realized was classic narcissist toward me, til I was in my 30s, I guess I better stop there or I’d go on forever.. but I wanted to note that I’ve been in very typical Taurus/Scorpio nodal situations and relationships.. My ex-fiance and his mother carried out a terrible plot to separate me and my then almost two year old daughter.. I need to build my stability and support myself so I can get a lawyer and the judge to stop ignoring their lies.. there are even conflicting police report & court motions that the judge just let fly and ignored me and all my evidence and it gets worse but anyways I’m sorry..
but throughout life I’ve been busy studying how to help people and found quite a lot.. and poured myself into Art, so I’ve used idle time pretty wisely.. but still those tiny Taurean steps get caught in my head and I’m stuck in scorpionic pincers about my own worth, and being frozen afraid that I’ll be burdensome or bothersome to others.. but I’ve already shrugged my shoulders and decided I am doing it.. it’s just the doing it part that escapes me 🤣

I feel the same as you. This description of the North Node is excellent and I recognise myself in that and also from the house placement. I am 55 years old already, so I have enough experience to realise what has worked in my life and what is not, and indeed: my life is guiding me toward the Gemini -things more and more.
I can understand that someone, who has not accepted her/his North Node and wants to stay at the comfort zone of her/his South Node, gets angry when reading the explanation. I do not like my North Node position.: I do not want to be a social creature at all. I became anxious when I realised what my North Node is about.

My north node is in the 7th house, but is 2 degrees away from the cusp of the 8th house. The astrological books, in which I have most confidence, say that something up to 9 degrees away from the cusp of a house, should be considered to be in that house. What is your opinion on the matter? Would some mixture of influences be possible?
It’s tricky with the houses. In the case you are describing, you might find that using another house system puts the planet in the 8th, so it’s definitely a matter of interpretation. With signs, we generally say that the earliest degrees have the most pronounced traits with the last degrees being more mild, so that lends weight to your idea of a mixture of influences. On the other hand, houses are not signs exactly. The houses demarcate the areas where the planet is exerting its influence in your life, so theoretically speaking it should be true that one house fits best. I would pick one house that seems to make the most sense — cast the chart using a few different house systems and see what fits best — and stick with that.
very acurrate and detailed discription. I have north node in 11th in gemini but this sign is intercepted as well as sagittarius. does this affect the nodes or just the planets? communication is a problem for me. I can’t find the way to release that energy

On the birth chart, it looks as though it’s almost in the 5th house. I’m not sure what to make of it. Also, I don’t really like my node in the 4th house personally lol. Hi I’m a North node gemini.just learned this, and many does it explain alot. However I’ve read that there is a “house” involved for example “north node gemini of the 1rst, 2nd or 3rd house etc. I’m trying to find out what house I belong to. D.o.b. 9-30-83.
In order to know what house your N. Node falls into, you must know your time and place of birth. The houses shift every couple of hours, so the only way to pin point the position of the houses is by knowing the time of birth. I hope this helps!

It brought out the best in me and actually provided financial security I needed. Plus prevented that aimless wandering mentioned above.
I definitely wanted to do the play, have fun, joie de vivre thing but life had other things in store and I had to survive fast. It was decided in my teens there was no escaping this so I went against that one bit above. It has made all the difference.
I’m only saying this not to say you’re wrong – I don’t think you are at all, this site is excellent. I just offer my life experience (over 50 yrs old now) as example of sometimes needing to read more than the nodes in the chart. For instance, my mercury has nothing but squares. My chart matches a famous singer, born on same day, opposite coasts but same country. Singer has great success, easy, happy life. Mine has been anything but 🙂
So just sharing as info in case it helps anyone. Honestly I think all my mercury squares helped because most of my life I stayed mute and just took in what everyone else was teaching by word or example. Shudder to think what might have happened had I used my mouth more. Finance jobs have their perks. You don’t talk a lot and it keeps you to yourself 🙂

Oh, just thought of something. The stress of the boring, repetitive was counteracted by getting active in nature. Not in competitive sports, but in nature activity and usually on my own. Restorative. It helped a lot to keep me on the straight and narrow. If that helps.
It’s definitely not natural to lock yourself into boring and repetitive with Gemini NN but if you can create on the side, on your own time, privately, that helps – art, active outdoors, etc.

Hi,I have NN Gemini in my 3rd house and SN Sag in 9th close to my MC and sun/merc/moon in Scorpio with Pisces ascendant. I am in my 50’s now. I could relate to much of your article. As a child I was almost a recluse on a farm due to illness and to this day I still need my ‘alone time in nature’. Up until I was 30 I worked in accounts and had a different job every year. Then I found a job where research and sharing information in my local community was key and it transformed my life (23 years and counting). I am blessed with many friends, but find I have to keep some distance as all the politics, gossip and drama of social life/community still confuse or make me want to run! Interesting and for me sounds pretty accurate! x
Is astrology written in stone? Having to depend on someone my entire life by this interpretation is a scary seed to plant. I was born in the city and now live in a rural area. Wish I was flourishing, and admittedly that matches that I am not right now. So how do you work around/with your NN when someone can’t just get up and move to a city? Can you live remotely and make dealings in a city? Not sure how this information works for someone?
