One cannot undermine without intending to. Certainly, I have never undermined anyone’s anything: not intentionally, and not accidentally. I see that several other people picked you up on this. What made you say something so offensive?
And your point about having had friends but being without friends now: Have you considered that being alone and lonely could be due to a person’s having moved away from the home country to settle in a new one? Bear in mind also that come a certain time in life, people’s friends have died. Such circumstantial accidents are just that; they are not to do with a property of self. (Of course, you might have been mindful of the effects of circumstance. But you neglected to say so,)
